ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
CITY OF HOGANSVILLE, GEORGIA
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of
Hogansville, Georgia at City Hall, 400 East Main Street, Hogansville, Georgia 30320 until 3:00 pm local time, Tuesday, May
11, 2021, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the
scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
The Georgia Department of Transportation
Standard Specifications, Current Edition and applicable Supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions apply
to this project.
The work to be done consists
of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of:
Approximately 1,100 tons of recycled asphalt concrete, 6,700
square yards of 8-inch thick graded aggregate base and 6,700 square yards of pavement
and materials removal, all work complete with appurtenances, including traffic
control, striping and erosion control.
Time allotted for construction is 60 consecutive calendar
days for substantial completion and 90 days for final completion.
Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall
be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and
figures for the work bid on.
All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor
of the City of Hogansville, Georgia, in the amount of at least 10% of the lump
sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if
awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish
Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the
Attorney for the City of Hogansville, Georgia.
Each bond shall be equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City
of Hogansville, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute
the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after
being notified that he has been awarded the contract.
Drawings and Specifications are open to public inspection
at the office of the City of Hogansville, Georgia and at the offices of
Turnipseed Engineers in Augusta and Atlanta, Georgia.
Copies of the plans and
specifications may be obtained from Turnipseed Engineers, Inc., 2255 Cumberland
Parkway, Building 400, Atlanta, Georgia 30339, upon receipt of the $200.00. An additional reduced set of drawings is

LOFTON PARK CONSTRUCTION
Sealed unit price bids will be received by the City of Hogansville, Georgia from prospective contractors for the City’s “Isaiah Lofton Park” project. The work consists of furnishing and installing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and related services required for a complete project. This project includes but is not limited to providing the construction of a 400 S.F. concrete slab and pavilion structure, approximately 2,075 S.F. of pedestrian walkways and plaza, 2,825 S.F. asphalt drive and parking stalls with concrete curb and gutter, approximately 54 L.F. of segmental block retaining wall, storm drainage structures and piping, site grading, landscaping, and erosion and sediment control in accordance with the Contract Documents
Bidders may obtain Complete sets of the Contract Documents, Technical Specifications and the Contract Drawings will be available from the Issuing Office from the City’s website: https://www.cityofhogansville.org/BidsAndNotices.aspx and at the Georgia Procurement Registry website located at: https://ssl.doas.state.ga.us/PRSapp/PRindex.jsp. Bidders are solely responsible for maintaining a complete set of Contract Documents, Technical Specifications, Contract Drawings, and project Addenda or Modifications to assure that they possess all project changes and addendums prior to bidding. Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Hogansville City Hall, at 400 East Main Street, Hogansville, Georgia 30230. Any questions pertaining to the requirements of the Contract Documents and Technical Specifications, either procedural or technical, shall be in writing and are to be submitted to Falcon Design Consultants, LLC; Attention: Adam Price, P.E. via email at firstname.lastname@example.org by 12:00 PM Noon on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, Reference: “Isaiah Lofton Park”. Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Hogansville at City Hall, 400 East Main Street, Hogansville, Georgia 30230 until 11:00 AM local time, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 and then publicly opened and read aloud.
No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of Bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and formalities.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a bond issued by a surety acceptable to the City or a cashier’s check made payable to the City of Hogansville, Georgia. The entire Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Hogansville as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required in the Contract Documents.
